Josué Méndez (director)

Josué Méndez (born September 18, 1976 in Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian director of films including Dias de Santiago (Days of Santiago) and Dioses (Gods).[1][2] Dias de Santiago is about a cab driver in Lima, Peru.[3] It was Peru's official nomination into the 2006 Academy Awards.[4]

During the making of Dioses, Méndez benefited from the guidance of British director Stephen Frears as part of the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative.[5]
